Landsea Tours Offering New Packages

Landsea Tours based in Vancouver, is offering two new tour packages this summer. These tours can be booked by calling 1-800 HelloBC.

  • The Whistler by Whistler Mountaineer Train is a packaged tour available from May 1 – Oct 16 and departs at 7:30 am daily. This is an 11.5 hour tour that starts with a fully narrated 3-hr ride through some of the world’s most rugged fjords and mountains on the Whistler Mountaineer Train. You will be met by a Landsea Tours guide upon stepping off the Train at Whistler. You will also enjoy some free time browsing around the quaint village shops or join a Naturalist guide for a free walk along the forest and get introduced to it’s unique ecology. A Landsea Tour bus will take you back to Vancouver with a half-hour stop overs at Shannon Falls and the North Vancouver Outdoor School (Old Growth Forest).

  • The Whistler by Float Plane is a packaged tour available during May 1 to Oct 16 and departs at 8:30 am daily. This is a 9.5 hour tour to Whistler starting at the Vancouver Harbour onboard the Whistler Air Floatplane. The 45 minute floatplane ride enroute to Whistler provides a scenic view of the mountain peaks and glaciers with narration from the pilot. You will enjoy some free time browsing around the quaint village shops or join a Naturalist guide for a free walk along the forest and get introduced to it’s unique ecology. A Landsea Tour bus will take you back to Vancouver with a half-hour stop overs at Shannon Falls and the North Vancouver Outdoor School (Old Growth Forest).

    Whistler Blackcomb's Piccolo Express Lift

    Coming up on Whistler Mountain is the new Piccolo Express Lift. This high speed detachable quad in the high alpine will run to the Piccolo Peak from the bottom of Flute Bowl, providing access to over 1,000 acres of high alpine terrain. Construction of the lift will begin this Spring and expected to be operational at the start of the 2006/07 Winter season. Hiking Access to Singing Pass from the Whistler Village Gondola will remain open during the summer.
