Reduced Hotel Rates in Whistler
Listel Whistler Hotel has lowered their BC Escapes Room Only Rate from $289 to $209 starting now until March 25/06
Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside has lowered their BC Escapes Room Only rate from $169 to $159 during July 1 – Sept 16/06 and the BC Escapes Room Only Upgrade rate from $209 to $199 effective July 1 - Sep 16/06.
New Name and New Look!
On March 1, 2006, the Ramada Vancouver Centre will be known as the Park Plaza Vancouver Downtown. The hotel is also getting a facelift to go with the new name! Renovation is currently taking place Monday through Saturday from 8am-6pm and the frontal is expected to be completed by May 1st or earlier. Work will then begin at the back of the building.
The Listel Hotel goes Luxe!
The Listel Hotel in Vancouver has joined the fold of Luxe Worldwide Hotels, an international network of acclaimed hotels and resorts. Listel Hotel will remain independently managed but will benefit from the premier representation that Luxe Worldwide Hotel expertly provides.
Extended Mountain Hours
The Whistler Blackcomb Mountain will be open until 4:00pm starting February 25, 2006. Opening hours is still at 8:30am until April 16, 2006.

Comfort Inn & Suites located in Kamloops has lowered their BC Escapes Room Only rates.

Club Intrawest located in Whistler lowered their standard rate for a Studio with Queen bed from $309 to $149 between April 18 – June 22, 2006.
The Alpenglow located in Whistler has Lowered their BC Escapes room only rate from $229 to $189 starting Feb 20 – April 1/06; and from $149 to $140 starting April 2-13, 2006.
Glacier Lodge & Suites located in Whistler has Lowered their BC Escapes room only rate from $212 to $199 starting Feb 20 – April 1/06.
New Tour Packages
The Five Star Charters based in Victoria, is now offering summer tours. You have a choice between a 3-hr Guided Whale Watching tour in mid-April to September on a 12-passenger Cruiser (open vessel) or in a 40-passenger Catamaran. Or, a 2-hr Wildlife Cruise during October to mid-April. For this tour, the vessel type is weather dependent.
Canyonjet Safaris, operating in Golden, is offering a new tour called Golden Discovery Package. Available from May 27 to September 26, 2006, this full-day tour departs daily at 9am and includes Grizzly Bear Refuge tour, Gondola Ride, Sky Lunch, Columbia River Safari, snacks and refreshments.
