No Passport, No Problem

Not sure who knows or doesn’t know this: But, Americans don’t actually need a passport to visit British Columbia – not for the next 2+ years, anyways.

Americans can still visit BC as easily as they always have. The new US passport requirements don’t come into effect until Jan. 1, 2008. So, there's no need to panic when you gingerly drive up to the border crossing or find yourself in line walking towards the impending border guard check at a Canadian airport.

If you want to learn more about the eventual passport requirements to visit BC or the rest of Canada, check out US Department of State.
